Computer Telephony Integration

Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) brings the intelligence of a personal computer (PC) and the flexibility of Norstar's SCI together. Thanks to Microsoft's programming interface, the companies have access to a wide range of CTI applications that combine the power of the phone and the computer in a very interesting way to increase both productivity and customer satisfaction.
NORSTAR'S COMPUTER CONSOLE Norstar's computer console provides a graphic interface for personal computers (PC's) which allows a fast and effective handling of the arriving traffic to the operator of the phone system. The computer console is to be used with a Norstar phone to guarantee an advanced interface on the occupied answering positions.
ADAPTER Norstar's Computer Telephony Adapters Norstar's products of the Computer Telephony Adapter family (CTA) offer a complete and simple way to install the Telephony Application Programming Interface (TAPI) on the Norstar system. The main objective of a CTA is to link the computer to the phone. These connectivity devices are, in fact, peripherals placed between the computer and the phone. The FST software is automatically loaded into the computer for the TAPI implementation. The Personal Call Manager (PCM) is an electronic calling application that allows the activation of some of Norstar's system functions through the graphic interface and the mouse of a personal computer running with Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows NT.
